Who are we helping?
Meet Jonny and Carmen Esqueque and their two young children, Levi and Arlett.
They are the family we will be building for in Guatemala. We follow a thoughtful and strict set of criteria to ensure the home is placed in the hands of a family who will not only steward it well, but also use it as a beacon of light in their community. Families are carefully vetted through interviews — typically with both parents present (exceptions are made for single parents in special circumstances). Priority is given to households with children under 12, a strong reputation in the neighborhood, and no involvement with drugs, alcohol abuse, or gang activity. We partner with local churches to identify families who are either already involved or are open to becoming part of a church community, with the goal of helping them grow as future leaders where they live.

The deposit is 1500$. This inlcudes your hotel, 3 meals a day for the whole week, Adventures, and trasnportation. We take care of everything for you.
For the building of the house we ask for a minimum $1k donation (you can always do more) to fund the building of the house.

We generally have our volunteers book their own flights. We will give you suggested flights and your arrival dates. On this trip we ask everyone arrive on the 24th. We will begin building on the 25th. Most people will be departing on the 29th.

Build Days: April 25–27
Adventure Day: April 28 – Acatenango Volcano & Antigua ExplorationWe depart the U.S. on April 24 and arrive in Guatemala the same day. We’ll spend three days building a home for a local family in need on April 25, 26, and 27. On April 28, we’ll have a full adventure day hiking Acatenango, one of Guatemala’s most active volcanoes, and exploring the historic city of Antigua. You’ll share meals and experiences alongside local families and volunteers throughout the trip.
Return flights are on April 29. For those who need to head home earlier, you’re welcome to depart after the build concludes on April 27 or anytime on April 28 after the build portion is complete.

What’s Included

To reserve your spot, you’ll submit a $1,500 deposit that covers all meals, transportation, hotel accommodations, and excursions during the trip. In addition to the deposit, we highly encourage a separate donation of minimum 1k donation from you or your business to help fund the materials and labor for the home build — this generosity is what makes the project possible. If you're joining us strictly as a volunteer and are unable to contribute financially toward the build, please let us know in your reservation form so we can plan accordingly.
